Some definitions Conservation agriculture (agriculture raisonnee) allows the use of GMO, chemical fertilizers, sewage sludge, fungicides and insecticides, herbicides, pesticides, growth regulators, and does not impose crops rotation. Sustainable agriculture limits the intake of mineral fertilizers, allows the use of sewage sludge, limit the use of fungicides, insecticides and herbicides, prohibits the use of GMO, requires crops rotation and prohibits naked soil in winter. Integrated farming or integrated production limits the intake of chemical fertilizer, prohibits sludge, prohibits fungicides and insecticides, herbicides banned in the fall, bans GMO and growth regulators, it also imposes crops rotation. Organic
agriculture refuses
sewage sludge, fungicides, pesticides, insecticides, weed killer, GMOs,
growth regulators are prohibited. |
